In November 2025, the Town Hospital team performed Egypt's first procedure using SEEG technology, in a collaboration between Egyptian and Indian expertise:

What is SEEG?
Stereo-EEG (Stereoelectroencephalography) is a precise method for pinpointing the area of the brain responsible for epileptic seizures, by implanting fine electrodes that record electrical activity with high accuracy. It helps the surgical team plan epilepsy surgery more safely and effectively — especially in drug-resistant cases.
